Overview:

Thursday's General Sessions will feature a special session presented by Belterra on Risk Management.  Our networking session will offer the opportunity to meet both the exhibitors and your colleagues.

Friday's Keynote will be former ASQ Chaiman Peter Andres who will present on the Economic Value of Quality.  He will be followed by a session led by The Partnership for Excellence - the state-level Baldrige-based Performance Excellence Program of Ohio, Indiana, and West Virginia.  The afternoon breakout sessions will divide into tracks focused on Healthcare and Quality Tools.  The Healthcare track will feature a presentation  from Baldrige Award Winner Schneck Medical Center.  The Quality Tools track will be equally applicable to Manufacturing and Services professionals.

Keynote Session - Making the Economic Case for Quality
Speaker - Peter L. Andres:

Peter L. Andres is past-Chair of the American Society for Quality. 

Andres is an ASQ Fellow, a Certified Quality Engineer, and Certified Manager of Quality/ Organizational Excellence. He is a former chair of the ASQ Conference Board and a past chair of the Aviation, Space & Defense Division. 

He has more than 25 years of experience in quality management, primarily in the aerospace and transportation industries.  His areas of expertise include application of quality management systems, acquisition quality strategies, and process improvement methods. 

He retired from the Boeing Company in 2011.  With Boeing, he served as the director of quality support for the Boeing Company’s C-17 production program and worked as program quality engineer on the Future Combat Systems program.  Andres’ experience includes the position of chief of the quality assurance branch with the C-17 Program Office at USAF Aeronautical Systems Center and work with the McDonnell Douglas Corporation in managing the acquisition quality program objectives for production of this new generation transport aircraft.  He planned and established the initial quality program system for the Advanced Cruise Missile program, an advanced technology cruise missile with General Dynamics Corporation.

He has also held senior quality management positions at Morrison Knudsen Corporation (Chicago, IL), Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company (Fort Worth, TX), and USAF Aeronautical Systems Center (Dayton, OH).

Andres holds a bachelor of general studies degree from the University of Cincinnati and earned a master of public administration degree from the University of Dayton.

He is active in community service organizations and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, and is chairman of Citizens’ Participation Advisory Board in the City of Huntington Beach, CA.
